Main objectives:
To provide innovative solutions for sustainable development by creating educational, skills-building and micro-entrepreneurial opportunities to individuals.
Thanda supports rural small-scale farmers (primarily women) through farm-based training in organic growing methods, infrastructure support, and market access. By employing individuals from within the community and training them to lead in-depth training and individualised mentoring, farmers are equipped with the skills and support to grow successful yields. Farming as a practice has presented an opportunity for individuals living in economically depressed communities to improve household nutrition and income generation. Beyond those obvious benefits, it has given farmers a sense of empowerment and decreased their dependency on social grants
